Tickets from the first release candidate of Foreman 1.10.0 are beginning
to appear, so we need help now to write and test fixes.
The second release candidate should be in about 8 days time, so we have
about a two week cycle of RCs.
In addition, we have some tickets being filed against 1.9 for issues
that are regressions over 1.8 and earlier 1.9 releases (bug fixes that
introduced new problems). I hope we can make one further 1.9 bug fix
release with these resolved. These fixes will also go to 1.10.
Here are some ticket descriptions to help you find something you can
work on - please self-assign the ticket and send PRs as normal. Do
check the lists regularly too, they will be the most up to date.

Here's another update as we head towards RC3. I'd really like to make
this the last, but we didn't have much completed between RC1 and RC2, so
please help with the tickets below.
Keep an eye out on the ticket list URLs and Redmine notifications, since
new tickets will appear regularly.

1.9.3 has shipped now with neither ticket fixed. We still have a bunch
of 1.10.0 issues that I think are important for RC3 and the GA, listed
below.
Is there any more information or help I can provide to encourage people
to work on them? I see lots of other active PRs, but little to help
with the pending release which concerns me.

We've had some new tickets filed against 1.10.0 for some important
regressions, so please have a look at the list below and help out by
picking up a ticket. Thanks to everybody testing, it's making a big
difference.
I'd like to release RC3 early next week (Monday or Tuesday?) as a couple
of problems from gem updates have now been resolved. The remaining
issues we can probably release straight into 1.10.0 if fixed in time or
delay until .1, to avoid an RC4.

RC3 came out on Tuesday, which means I'd like to get 1.10.0 final out in
two weeks, around Tuesday 1st December. This gives us just over a week
to fix a few more bugs.

I'd planned for 1.10.0 to be released around today, but two further
regressions in compute profile handling on the New Host form will delay
it until resolved.
#12461 was fixed and merged to fix compute profile handling, but #12618
is an equally severe issue stemming from the #12461 patch. A PR from
Marek is open on the latter ticket, but once updated I'd appreciate
other people testing it too with their own new host workflows to check
compute profiles are functioning correctly.
There are some other open tickets for regressions in 1.10, so if you can
help, please send a PR ASAP:
