Best way to add existing hosts to Foreman/Katello

I did try to Register Host command but received the following error:

This system is not yet registered. Try 'subscription-manager register --help' for more information

I have just tried it. The resulting register script can register the host with a activation key to subscription manager. I don’t know what you have tried…
