Choose specific VMware Host from cluster

Hello,

I have not seen this option when creating new host - is there any way to
tell Foreman which VMWare host (from cluster) it should use when creating
new machine on VMware VCenter? Right now when I create a machine Forem
assings it to a host based on the datastore I've chosen, OR if a Datastore
is present on multiple hosts it chooses one at random. It causes a
situation when I add a new host and Foreman assings it to most loaded host
in cluster.

Is there a way to choose specific host?

Will be very grateful for any answers.

Hm - I haven't noticed this behavior. I guess I just assumed that VMWare
was telling Foreman what host it SHOULD use (when provisioning to a
cluster). If not, this is definitely not a good thing.

I noticed the same behavior. Foreman always seemed to put the host on the
most overloaded cluster and then it could not start because the machine it
had chosen already had reached its 400 vcpu limit.

I had to specifically choose a hard drive that only one host had access to
in order to get the vm to go on that host.

Needless to say, provisioning a machine will not be a reliable process if
the guest always ends up on a host that's already full and can't start any
more machines.
