Content View exception for new Installation

Hello guys,

i have an Problem with content view during new os installation.
For an example im excluding kernel* packages during updates. But i can set
content view for new hosts, but it is problematic, because im not getting
kernel packages and but my system can not boot.
What i do wrong?

Can you clarify what you mean here when you say excluding them during
updates? If you exclude kernel packages from a CV then they won't be
included. You might need two CVs, one for provisioning with the kernel
packages included and one for host lifecycle that excludes the packages?
