ContentView: published version doesnt content errata if a filter used

Hello

Problem:
Published version of CV with a filter (for RPM) doesn’t content errata from repo ( CentOS errata GitHub - loitho/katello-create-errata: Create Errata repository for Katello )
After deleting a filter and publishing a new version: all errata available (CentOS_errata has 5083 errata)

Filter:

Expected outcome: all content published with a filter

Foreman and Proxy versions:
foreman-3.0.1-1
katello-4.2.1-1

Foreman and Proxy plugin versions:

foreman-tasks 5.1.1
foreman_ansible 6.4.1
foreman_bootdisk 18.0.0
foreman_column_view 0.4.0
foreman_default_hostgroup 6.0.0
foreman_openscap 5.0.0
foreman_puppet 1.0.5
foreman_remote_execution 4.8.0
foreman_setup 7.0.0
foreman_templates 9.1.0
katello 4.2.1

Distribution and version:
CentOS7

Thank you

Not sure I understand what the problem is. If I delete a filter and republish, I would expect all the errata to be available. What do you expect to happen and what is actually happening?

Hello @jeremylenz

What do you expect to happen and what is actually happening?

All errata to be available without deleting a filter.

and what is actually happening?

A published version of CV with a filter doesn’t have errata

thank you

Is this an RPM exclude filter? An exclude filter on RPM will exclude empty errata and all errata tied to packages being excluded.

Did the content view publish task complete without errors?

Hi @jeremylenz

An exclude filter on RPM will exclude empty errata

yes, it’s an RMP exclude filter and it’s an empty errata repo (only metadata ), so that explain my issue

Thank you

No errors

This should be improved when Bug #34437: Exclude filter may exclude errata and packages that are needed - Katello - Foreman is fixed.
