Hi,
So I had a mess about with permissions today - nice work with the LDAP
integration! AD sync was a snap to set up. However, the users created
on-the-fly seem to recieve the Anonymous permissions rather than the Default
User permissions. That's at odds
with Roles and permissions - Foreman. Am I
missing a setup step somewhere?
Cheers,
Greg

Well… you are not wrong, I guess the docs are a bit misleading, as once you
turn on authentication, there are no anonymous users (as everyone must
authenticate).
please open a bug about this, but for know, you could think of anonymous
users == authenticated users until we fix it.
Thanks!

Indeed, my work around was to grant the permissions I wanted to the
Anonymous role. Hardly high priority
I'll certainly open a bug for that - I'd offer to write a docs patch for the
wiki, but I'm on holiday tomorrow. Maybe I'll see where things are when I
get back

This confusion was caused by me.
I have updated the documentation as I wrote the original rubbish. To
clarify, the default user's permissions are used to populate the settings
for a new Role and not a new User. This is not intuitive and I will open a
ticket to change the name.
