Problem:
I synched the CentOS8-BaseOS-x86_64 repository (which has already been synced in the past, I’m just pulling in updates from upstream), published the content view which contains said repository and then promoted it to the lifecycle environment which my content host is registered to.
My content host was built on the previous published version of the CV prior to my recent syncing, promoting and publishing.
After promoting the new content, from the Foreman UI I can pull up the content host and see the new package versions now available to the content host in the Applicable Packages section.
If I attempt to upgrade from the UI, the task fails with the below error message:
RuntimeError: Host did not respond within 20 seconds. The task has been cancelled. Is katello-agent installed and goferd running on the Host?
My Foreman/Katello server is CentOS 7, but my content host is CentOS8. As I understand it, katello-agent is not available for CentOS 8 and is deprecated.

If I SSH into the host and run yum upgrade, it also does not seem to detect the new packages, even after clearing the Yum cache using yum clean all.
Expected outcome:
The upgrade will install successfully when initiated from the Foreman UI. Also that I would be able to see updates and install them using yum or dnf.
