Hi Sven,
We need the help 
the issue last I worked on this was, that when I creating a simple vcenter
with one esx (in my test lab) everything kind of worked, but when i had
users playing with it, they had lots of failures.
we could not figure out the exact issues that cause tha failures (and seems
to go all the way down to the official ruby binding from vmware).
If you have a setup which I can use remotely, I could give this another try.
