Foreman 1.5.0-RC1 now available for testing

Testing's open for our first release candidate of the Foreman 1.5
series! Now available for download from the usual repositories.

Key features in Foreman 1.5:

  • config groups for Puppet class associations
  • realm and FreeIPA integration
  • fine-grained authorization roles and improvements
  • image provisioning on oVirt, libvirt and VMware
  • installer support for plugins and compute resources

  1. Config groups Puppet classes not shown in ENC YAML
    Bug #5246: Puppet classes on config groups aren't added to host's ENC YAML output - Foreman

  2. Class parameters not shown for override in nested host groups
    Bug #5247: Smart Class parameters cannot be overridden in nested host groups - Foreman

  3. Error on host edit using VMware on Debian or Ubuntu
    Bug #5248: 1.5 RC1 edit host generates undefined method `class_from_string' for Fog:Module error - Foreman

  4. foreman_default_hostgroup isn't compatible with 1.5 yet
    Feature #4374: default_hostgroup: Host fact import methods have been renamed in develop - Plugins - Foreman
