Problem:
I have Foreman and Foreman Proxy configured with internal CA in order to utilize ssl functionality between two systems. I’m running into issues with Discovery now where its just throwing below error message when host tries to connect back to proxy. I’ve gone ahead and sshd into discovery host, installed internal CA cert, but still getting same error message.
Expected outcome:
I would expect that discovery service would see that CA host has been installed on the OS level.
Foreman and Proxy versions:
3.5.3
Foreman and Proxy plugin versions:
22.0.2
Distribution and version:
Ubuntu 20.04
Other relevant data:
I’m also not using Puppet in order to configure foreman and I’m not sure if this has something to do with my SSL issue. I would still think that discovery process would see that CA is legit since I have it installed locally on the host when image boots, but that doesn’t seem to be case.
Please let me know what am I missing here.
