Foreman + Infoblox

Hi! I am using the Infoblox DNS appliance for all of my Name service needs
. . . Doesn't look like anyone else is using this, but does anyone where I
can find the docs to write the code to get foreman to talk to Infoblox?
Infoblox has a perl API . . . Any samples of this out there for me to see?

Thanks a lot,
Guy

Hi Guy,

You would need to implement a new server type for infoblox within foreman
smart proxy.
see for example:

https://github.com/theforeman/smart-proxy/blob/develop/lib/proxy/dns/bind.rb

if infoblox supports dynamic updates, you might be able to pull of using
the existing server implementation (as we do for windows dns and bind).

Thanks.

Hi,

Did you had any success with infoblox + foreman, as we have the same issue. It would be nice to know how far you got with this and the challenges you are facing.

Cheers,
Dhawal.
