Foreman/Katello muti-home network

Problem: Unable to bind smart proxy with all services to an internal network use for provisioning

Expected outcome: I have configure Foreman/katello on a dual home server, and I am expecting the provisioning interface to communicate with the client

Foreman and Proxy versions: 3.15

Foreman and Proxy plugin versions:

Distribution and version: Rocky Linux 9

Other relevant data: I am trying to deploy foreman/katello so that the API is on a management network and the provisioning on a private network. The Foreman/katello and smart proxy is a single server with ssl enable to UI. After deployment the smartproxy listening on the public/fdqn host port 9090.

setting example: Forman UI ens192: 192.168.0.24

smart proxy and subnet : ens224 10.0.10.24

Could you post the logs showing the error you are running into?

If you want provisioning to be on a separate network, using the built-in smart proxy probably won’t work well. You probably will get better results if you set up an external smart proxy on another machine to handle provisioning (it will still need to communicate with the main Foreman server.)
