Foreman_salt 2.1 Released

Hi All,

I'm happy to announce foreman_salt 2.1 is released.

  • This release includes the ability to automatically import your states
and environments from the salt master. You will need to configure
    the salt-api for this feature.

    A quick GIF demo: http://i.imgur.com/B2PeNAf.gif

  • Minor bug fixes related to reporting

  • Optional namespacing of pillars. Some users have requested the
ability to confine foreman's pillar source to its own dictionary key
("foreman"). You can turn this on in Settings.

So, please give it a try and if you run into any problems feel free to
ping me on IRC and/or file an issue here:

Foreman

Other Notes:

This is the first release that relies on the salt-api for some features.
You will need to configure it as per the salt documentation, and provide
the details to the Smart Proxy in /etc/foreman-proxy/settings.d/salt.yml.

More information is available in the Upgrade and Install sections of the
plugin's manual:

Enjoy!

··· -- Best Regards,

Stephen Benjamin

If you're upgrading to Salt 2015.05 as well, upload-salt-reports needs a
small fix: https://gist.github.com/stbenjam/7a3d7668f37613ecab72

I'll plan to do another small bug fix release within the next week or
so.
