Foreman Smart Proxy installation on RHEL5

Hi,

One of the dhcpd servers we want to integrate with still runs on RHEL 5. I
noticed that there have been no RPMs for RHEL5 since 1.1. Has anyone got a
1.3 SmartProxy running on RHEL5? Will it work? If so, do I need to install
from source?

Thanks,
Jimmi

I hit the same issue… Ended up using the 1.1 rpms, and haven't hit any issues soo far.

Hi Gav,

We'll give that a go. Thanks for the feedback.

In the worst case, you can install Proxy from git. We still support Ruby
1.8 from RHEL5, there are couple of rubygems that would be needed to be
installed from rubygems.org tho.
