@adamlazik1 has experimented with POC: Generic multiprovider OIDC support without dependence on Apache by adamlazik1 · Pull Request #10797 · theforeman/foreman · GitHub as a proper way to implement generic OIDC authentication. Right now we have a focus on wrapping up Foreman 3.18 which is nearing branching (Foreman 3.18 Schedule and Planning) but once that dust settles down I hope we can continue.
