Problem: product button not accessible in the UI

Expected outcome:

Foreman and Proxy versions: 3.14

Foreman and Proxy plugin versions:

Distribution and version: Alma 9

Other relevant data:

Hello i have upgraded Foreman in 3.14 and i can’t create Product with UI. The button is not accessible. I can do it in command line “hammer product create”. Do you have an issue ?

Hello i found the origin of this error. It’s due to a profil user langage: translation probleme english to french.

Hi @Robert06 ,

3.17 is the oldest supported Foreman , and it’s soon to be 3.18. I wasn’t able to reproduce this issue on Foreman 3.18. Are you able to upgrade to a supported release?

We might be able to find what translation is causing the issue to patch it manually, but I can’t promise anything there.

Is there any chance you’re experiencing Bug #36829: Bad translation in french in webui - Katello - Foreman ? Or is the button actually not there?

I found out the translation was wrong in Transifex and I fixed it, but the incorrect translation keeps getting pulled back in. We need to look into what automation is causing this.

Edit:

Just to close the loop on this, we found out one of our translation tools did have the incorrect translation and it kept overwriting the one in Transifex. It should be solved for good now going forward.
