Freeze edits on a host?

In the "All hosts" screen, is it possible to freeze a host or something
like that so that the "Edit" button under "Actions" is grayed out?

No via special flag, but you can create a user without edit_hosts
permission and that'll do it.

I'd want the user to be able to edit, generally, but just want to be able
to set a "readonly" flag on some servers only.
