I read /proc/sys/kernel/random/entropy_avail on a loop while I tried to trigger the fault. Entropy was hovering aound 3700 and dropped to 3400 while a client node was trying to register via subscription-manager and failed.
I kind of gave up on it. I tried bumping the resources up a bit but it didn’t help.
