I am trying to configure and use LDAP authentication with foreman… I
get "Incorrect username or password" when trying to login…
Is there a way to enable or increase debugging levels so I see a bit
more in the foreman log file?
am using LDAPS, and doing a tcpdump, I see that there was some
conversation taking place with the LDAP server, but I have no access
to the server to see what actually happened…
Also, where is the LDAP config saved to? after being entered in the GUI?
I tried with " on-the-fly register" enabled, and disabled… same problem.
BTW, If I don't enabled the later feature, how can I create users? the
link for Users is disabled in the GUI!
Thanks a lot.
Mohamed.
I disabled my bind account, and everything seems to work now!
Thanks.
Mohamed.

just on a side note, you should have some info in the foreman log file (e.g.
/var/log/foreman)… it is possible to increase the verbosity of the log by
changing the config/environments/production.rb and changing the
config.log_level setting.
