How to disable auto network interfaces?

How can I disable network interfaces from being auto populated in foreman?
I have pretty complex network configs and I really only want foreman to
keep track of a few that I manually specify. Right now all my static
configs were wiped when I upgraded from 1.5 to 1.7.1 and i cant do any
further server provisioning until I resolve this. I already had "ignore_puppet_facts_for_provisioning
=> true", but that doesnt appear resolve anything for me. Ive lost so many
hours of time because of all my network configs being wiped that i
unfortunately didnt have somewhere else and i had to remap everything. Help?

Unfortunately there's no way to disable this I know about. For others, feel
free to discuss or upvote the issue at [1].
