How to set up a node belong to multiple groups

hi,
everybody!

I want to set one node belong to multiple host groups, can set it so?

Short answer no

Long answer no , you will have to get used to nesting host-groups , so
built a tree structure that provides all the needed dependencies and config
inheritance , but as soon as you branch you can not bring the 2 branches
back together.

I assume , like me a year ago , you are looking for more the puppet
dashboard behavior where you could assign multiple groups to 1 host thus
having a branch that defined for example OS , one for environment , one for
rol and mix and match as needed.
