install grief: aws

I know that the aws APIs are notoriously small, but I have a full one on,
AFAIK. I had the following errors on my katello install (RHEL 7 for
version 3.4)

https://pastebin.com/EZ3XU4FW

For those who aren't looking to click, it basically reads like epel isn't
enabled, but I sure do have it enabled:

# yum repolist
Loaded plugins: amazon-id, rhui-lb, search-disabled-repos
repo id repo name
               status
centos-sclo-rh/x86_64 CentOS-7 - SCLo rh

So I'm at a loss. I had this problem on AWS last time and ended up
installing on Google, but I do need AWS to work in the long run. thoughts?

Guess :

I don’t see any enabled OS repo in your repolist, but you need stuff like httpd and java in your yum errors…

you're right. it seems like I have software collections, but not the base
repos. Anyone clear on how to install the base repos for centos? Should I
just create the file manually?

So the bad news seems to me that AWS provides crap partial repos. I've
got CentOS-7 - SCLo rh and CentOS-7 - SCLo sclo and I can't get the base
RHEL repos in there. Does anyone have any thoughts on whether the normal
centos 7 repos will work for this? base, updates, etc?

(seriously, we would benefit a lot from an install guide for AWS, since
their AMIs all seem to be awful)
