IPv6 support

Hi there,

I was wondering if there is a timeline for IPv6 to be implemented as a host
group network? I'd really like to see IPv6 PXE deployments of servers.

Thanks!

Hello,

we have one or more feature requests in our tracker. I am not aware of
any active development or short-term plans in the core team.

1.13 has some form of IPv6 support. Is pxeboot possible over IPv6 now or is
it still pending?

We're looking at IPv6 pxe booting RHEL7 EFI, if anyone has any pointers or
a guide that could help us that would be great.

IPv6 PXE is not there yet, there are bits missing particularly in smart
proxy and we will likely miss 1.14 as well with this.

One remark to prevent confusion, what's missing is IPv6 DHCP foreman-proxy
integration, but this does not mean you can't do IPv6 PXE provisioning at
all, you just need to use external DHCP (not managed by foreman) and that
could work. I haven't tried this workflow yet, share your experience.
