Is it possible to sync content between two Foreman/Ketello

General Question

Is it possible to sync content between two foreman setups?

one is connected with redhat and added subscriptions and other one cannot connect to internet for fetching , so i thought of sync contents from connected foreman to disconnected one

Hi,

yes, this is exactly the scenario we use here. I have set up a VPN between the two Foremen and in the instance without Internet connection I can access the other Foreman via the VPN and use that as repo source.

Hi,

So basically one of your foreman is getting sync from internet/Redhat and other foreman is syncing from this one?

this is what i want to achieve, how can i do that?

Hi,

yes, exactly. You can for example set up OpenVPN with the Foreman with Internet access as the server.

Then you look up where each repo is published by the first forman. In the other Foreman you enter this URL as the “Upstream URL” for the repo.
