Issues booting from OS Mirrors

Hi,

I am using Foreman 1.8 and trying to provision a bare metal server with
Ubuntu 14.04. My Foreman server is running on CentOS 7 host.

I tried associating Ubuntu Mirror to the Operating System but when the
system boots it gives an error as below. I tied Open Suse as well and that
was giving installation media error

trying to load : pxelinux.cfg/00-80-c1-6e-23-8d-10 --> (MAC address of
the host)
could not find the kernel image: boot/ubuntu=14=x86_64-linux

Do i have to make changes in the pxelinux.cfg/00-80-c1-6e-23-8d-10 file
after it got buid ?

Now i have couple of questions

  1. Are these mirrors which was pre created with installation of foreman are
the right one or do we have to change them.
  2. Is there a way i can create repo on my CentOS foreman server for some of
the common OS i need for provisioning ?
  3. Is there a way to use iso for provisioning
  4. Ubuntu use amd64 but i don't see that architecture in the list when i
    create a OS

Thanks
Gagan

When I try using Open suse mirror
(Index of /pub/opensuse/discontinued/distribution/13.2/repo/oss/ ). The kernel
image loads and proceeds but then get stuck at "please make sure your
installation media is available" prompt as attached.

I am using AutoYAST Default and AutoYASt default PXELinux as the template.

Thanks
Gagan

I was able to install centOs without issue.

Looks like the problem is with the mirror for Ubuntu. However, in case of
OpenSuse Not sure is Template support OpenSuse 13.2.

Thanks
Gagan

Hi,

Is Open Suse 13.2 is support by AutoYAst SLES default template ? The oses
list just SLES 11 and SLES 12 ?

Is there any place from where I can download latest Oses's template ? I am
not sure how much effort it takes to write my own template

Thanks
Gagan
