[JOB] Devops engineer who is familiar with Puppet/Foreman/AWS

Looking for a devops engineer who knows Puppet, Foreman, Ruby and AWS,
to work for Brandorr Group LLC, an infrastructure operations consulting company.

Job responsibilities include:

  • Helping clients migrate to AWS
  • Managing infrastructure using Foreman and Puppet
  • Puppetizing inherited infrastructure
  • Maintaining internal and client facing Puppet infrastructures
  • Continually looking for and implementing improvements to said infrastructures
  • Evaluating and deploying new infrastructure tools, e.g. logging,
    remote management, NIDS, etc.
  • Improving open source tools to meet our needs (In particular Foreman).
  • Developing new tools as needed
  • Quickly learn new (and old) technologies as needed
  • Occasional blogging
  • Assisting in writing case studies as needed
  • Ongoing documentation
  • 2nd and 3rd level oncall rotation
  • Following development of Foreman and Puppet projects
  • Daily logging of hours worked (we are a consulting company after all)
  • Presenting at local user groups (Wherever local is).

Although Brandorr Group is located in New York City, we are a virtual
company, where everyone works remotely. We operate on EST.

moment we have a pretty good match between workload and staffing
levels on that side. If you have interest in also doing professional
development, please also indicate so, as we support clients in a
variety of languages, including PHP, Java. Python and Ruby. (Basically
it depends on client desires, and technical best-fit. Understand
though, that most of our current backlog is systems work.)
