Not sure exactly why or how this began, but my Katello 4.1.2 setup is no longer automatically syncing- anything. I have 4 products (centos7, epel7, and 2 more), each with a few repos.
Nothing is automatically syncing, and I have everything set to the “daily” sync plan.
Manually forcing a sync of the products works, no errors.
Any idea on where I look to see why these are not triggering?
Check Content - Sync Plans and verify the plan is enabled and it shows the correct time for next sync.
Also check the Monitor - Tasks view. You should see a “Run Sync Plan:” scheduled tasks for each of your sync plans and check the next execution there, too.
OK, the first part looks good: Sync plan enabled, products listed.
But the tasks… not sure what the issue is or how to fix? I see several entries for the daily plan, the last few of them all of them show up as “cancelled”. No errors.
In the task view, don’t you have any entries “Run Sync Plan:” in state scheduled? There should be one. It seems the scheduled entry doesn’t show the sync plan name in the action name…
Check the task view for all entries of the daily task. I guess the lastest ones are cancelled because there is still an earlier sync run some active/non-stopped state and it won’t start a new run if an older one is still there.
Finally found some errors in an earlier task, so things are all bunged up.
Any ideas to clear thi all out appreciated!

Check which sub task it is, cancel it or resume then cancel. Or cancel it through dynflow. You have to convince foreman that this task is stopped for good so that it releases all locks.

Eventually figured it out, The errors for what I eventually saw were oddly hidden, but were revealed upon a reboot.
Seems a recent update wiped out /etc/pulp/settings.py, where I have a modification to the allowed inbound paths. The repo sync was actually silently failing because pulp no longer allowed the /var/www/html/… path for my local repos.
