[katello 2.x] Migrating to new server

Hello,

i'm planning some infrastructure upgrade and i'd like to upgrade my katello
server.
I've read the upgrade procedure for moving to the latest katello/foreman
release, but i'd like to upgrade also the OS from RHEL6 to RHEL7. Is there
an existing procedure? or backup/restore is enough to work?

Anyone has tried this and has some findings to share?

Yes check the documentation

i just forget this procedure is for backup the current version and restore
the same version in the different machine with OS different after you do
this you can upgrade to the latest version of katello
