Katello 'You are not authorized to perform this action' as ADMIN user

Problem:
I am attempting to assign a LCE and CV to a host collection. When I select the YES button when it asks me if I am ‘sure I want to assign the content host(s) selected to blah CCV in collection’ I get an error at the top right telling me I am not authorized to perform this action. I am the admin user.

I don’t remember hitting this issue in my POC environment so I’m not sure what’s going on here. Thanks!

I tried creating multiple host collections and I still receive the same error as the subject shows.

Some more info - it looks like I can’t even attach subscriptions to my host collections. I’m not sure what I’m missing here?

@and this is kind of a silly question but do you have any hosts in this host collection? I see how that error could arise somewhat misleadingly in the case where the collection is empty as it’s not actually a permissions problem.

It is indeed an empty collection - I am beginning the early stages of production roll-out and have yet to configure hosts yet (just configuring keys to collection to LCE/CV mapping). I guess the error is a bit misleading then .
