Hi,
This is probably more of a pulp question than foreman per se but having successfully installed and configured Katello 2.0 I now find that I am not able to install packages via the UI to registered client systems. All systems show katello agent is installed and goferd is running on each one but the task never completes. I see plenty of bug reports and believe the issue is fixed in pulp 2.5 but in the meantime is there any known successful ways to hack this and make it work with 2.0?
TIA
LukeK
There aren't any known issues with the feature you speak of that would
prevent it from working completely. What version of katello-agent are
you using on the clients? There is a version in epel that is very old
and does not owrk. We are currently investigating our options to either
upgrade it or remove it.
Version 2.0 of katello-agent is required and available here:
https://fedorapeople.org/groups/katello/releases/yum/2.0/client/RHEL/6Server/x86_64/
If you are using katello-agent 2.0, can you tail /var/log/messages,
restart goferd, and send the output?
