Kickstart Build Duplicate IP

Hi,

When provisioning a new host from Foreman I have run into an issue
(possible bug) that during an install the build client IP changes to that
of the Foreman-Proxy server which then creates a duplicate IP on the
network. This occurs even if i leave the IP field empty (under edit host)
or assign a differant IP. Just to clarify that the Proxy doesnt have DHCP,
or DNS enabled and is only used for Template provisioning. The proxy IP
(which is stolen) is not in the DHCP range used. Any ideas?

Hello

could you please describe a bit more your setup?

What's your Foreman version?

How does the host should get an IP, I assume there's some external DHCP not
controlled by any Foreman proxy?

What's IPAM of subnet that is associated with host's primary interface?

Were there any custom modifications to templates?

What OS do you provision?

If you review the provisioning (rpm distros) or finish (deb distros) template,
do you see the IP anywhere in it?

Answers should help us debugging. Thank you
