Problem:
Using local authentication, when correct login details are supplied the login page doesn’t “move on” and allow login. However, cancelling and hitting the url tells me I’m already logged in.
Expected outcome:
Login occurs in a timely fashion and presents the dashboard
Foreman and Proxy versions:
1.24.2 but also occurs on 1.23

Is your foreman by any chance installed under a subfolder (i.e. example.com/foreman)?
any chance something in the dashboard loading takes too much time and
timeout?
Nope, standard install, no subfolder.
Could be. That’s what it feels like but it’s the default dashboard. I can try tweaking it so there’s next to nothing in the dashboard. Will let you know how it goes.
I can confirm that what you are describing happen to me also once,
but I can’t reproduce now… can you share the terminal logs?
I experience the same, for several weeks or months already and I see the same with 2.1 RC1.
Just built me a fresh katello 3.16 and I have the same thing again.
Starting to think it’s personal…
