Hi, I was reorganizing my foreman configuration, then an environment
was eliminated. In doing so the provisioning templates associated with
that hostgroup/environment disappeared. Is this normal behavior? Can I
recover those templates from somewhere?

Afaik, deleting an environment will not delete any templates, if it does,
please open a bug…
at the moment its not possible to retrieve a deleted template ( unless you
had a backup of your database), but it does make sense to have some sort of
versioning around templating withing foreman… please consider adding a
feature request for that…
if it was based on the original templates, then they are available on the
file system, under app/views/unattended directory.
