Navigation Design Input - Better 1, Better 2

Howdy,

The Katello team has been looking into a new navigation design that would
ultimately be adopted into Alchemy from the current version. I know the
current Alchemy header is a diversion from your current boostrap based
header, and these re-designs move more inline with the what you currently
have. In our efforts to provide consistency of user interactions, I'd like
ya'lls input.

Previous re-design of our header and navigation started with -
https://fedorahosted.org/katello/wiki/Navigation%20Enhancements

After a few small iterations of implementation on my part, and discussion
back and forth with Kyle we have narrowed in on two that we would like your
feedback in choosing. These are not drastically different than what the
link above presents, and the functionality with regard to scrolling (i.e.
header collapsing and going with you) and dropdowns for sub-navigation
remains the same.

So, just like the eye doctor would ask, better 1:

https://fedorahosted.org/katello/attachment/wiki/Navigation%20Enhancements/Screen-1.png

or better 2:

https://fedorahosted.org/katello/attachment/wiki/Navigation%20Enhancements/Screen-2.png

Thanks,
Eric

  1. Definitely 2. If anyone says 1, they are against the wall when the
    revolution happens!

Hi

I prefer 2nd variant simply because menu and content is more contrast. Variant
1 is also nice but it's harder to find where the page with content begins.

Also like the version 2. Because it eats less pixels from the screen.

Hi
number 2 is the winner for me. I like the contrast.
