No Inventory data has been found - add some hosts and facts and try again

Hi All!

I have import all my hosts defined in nodes.pp through the "REST" api.

Then I have imported the facts with the command: rake
puppet:import:hosts_and_facts RAILS_ENV=production All the facts are and
host information are imported ok, at least I think so.

When I access the statistics page I am receiving the message: "No Inventory
data has been found - add some hosts and facts and try again"

The following messages appears in my log file:

Processing StatisticsController#index (for x.x.x.x at 2010-06-16 16:10:10)
[GET]
Parameters: {"action"=>"index", "controller"=>"statistics"}
Couldn't find Operatingsystem without an ID
Rendering template within layouts/standard
Completed in 17ms (View: 13, DB: 5) | 200 OK [
http://puppet.globoi.com/statistics]

I am running version 0.1-5.

Is this a bug?

Thanks in advance,
Gus

Hi,

This could happen if you don't have any operating systems in your database?
if you still have the problem, please open it as a bug.

I will check if there is any OS in the DB… but I thought that during the
host and facts import, this information were being populate to the database.

Cheers,
Gus
