Hey all,
I am having a problem running the trends:clean cron on my foreman host. I
recently upgraded from foreman 1.4.1 to 1.7.2 and as part of that I noticed
that that the trends:clean cron has been disabled for some unknown amount
of time.
When I enable it and try to run it the process consumes all the memory on
the host until it is killed but the kernel OOM checker. Since this host is
a VM I have tried increasing the amount of RAM available to the system all
they way up to 32GB and that only seems to allow it to consume RAM faster
and get killed by the kernel sooner.
So my questions are, is there any way to run the cleaner and have it finish
without consuming all available RAM? If not can I simply delete the data
in the database and start all trends from scratch without causing any other
issues?
and I guess I follow on questions is after I resolve the currently issue
running the trends:clean daily going forward should prevent the issue from
re-occuring? right?
Thanks!
