What are the plans for AlmaLinux 10 support in Puppet 8 ?

My company wants to start upgrading to AlmaLinux 10.
We are using Open Source Puppet 8 which doesn’t contain AlmaLinux 10 repo.

Is switching to Puppet Core the only solution to have official AlmaLinux 10 support ?

It looks like we can force the installation of the Puppet 8 EL9 repository on an AlmaLinux 10 system, e.g:
sudo dnf install -y https://yum.puppet.com/puppet8-release-el-9.noarch.rpm

However, would this be considered an acceptable solution for an organization ?

Foreman is switching to openvox. Works fine.

Pretty much this. While puppet 8 codepaths are still there at the moment, they are about to be removed, making openvox the only officially supported option.

Thanks for the confirmation, we’ll most probably go with OpenVox.
