Good day,
I was looking over realms in foreman and noticed there is a realm type of
active directory.
Is there any information to setup/configure connecting to a realm provider
of active directory?
Unless i misunderstood what realms were for it appears that it could
connect to active directory and allow creation of computer/host objects.

It appears that this is still under development, though may be close:
https://github.com/theforeman/smart-proxy/pull/480
Depending on your tolerance for "uh ohs" you may be able to use that pull request to implement this earlier.
