Redmine permissions

Hey!

A common problem I keep coming across is I cant edit any issues, so if I
create an issue or one is assigned to me I cannot correct any errors or
change one of the attributes, all i can do it add a comment asking for
someone else to do it. And I'm sure others with more permissions have
better thing to do than update other peoples issues.

Can we by default allow users to edit issues assigned to them & issues
they've created? [1] shows that it should be possible.

Just want to join you in this request - sometimes it's just helpful to
be able to edit your own issues w/o asking others to do it or writing a
comment with the update

I've enabled edit permissions with some of the fields and workflows
limited, which should allow non-members to edit subjects, descriptions,
categories etc. Basic workflows between new/need more
info/feedback/resolved/duplicate are permitted, but not closed etc.

We do get spam bots occasionally posting and editing items on the issue
tracker and wiki, so please alert an admin if you see this so we can
lock the accounts and revert any damage.

Users should still become members of the project if they're regular
reporters or contribute, as the reporter/developer project roles allow
assignment and more. Ask the "manager" of the project in Redmine for access.
