Problem:
“Hosts > Register host” is choosing incorrect provisioning template. The problem occured after Foreman was upgraded from 2.5.4 to 3.0.1.
Foreman chooses “Debian 11.1 - Host initial configuration template” which resolves to “PXELinux chain iPXE UNDI” provisioning template, that has “PXELinux template” type.
Expected outcome:
Before Foreman was upgraded, the same Register host page correctly detected my custom provisioning template, that was and still is:
- set as default template for Debian 11.1 operating system
- associated with correct organization
- associated with correct location
- has “Host initial configuration” type
I even tried host group association and removed all provisioning templates from by organization and location (leaving only my template associated with the OS, organization and location), but Foreman still selects the template shown on the screenshot.
