One point - where you say:

That should be covered by the provisioning scripts - when you request
unattended/provision it should create an autosign entry, the finish
script runs puppet to get the cert signed, and the the request to
unattended/built will remove the autosign. I'm sure that's default for
RedHat and Debian family templates by default.

I tried to follow the documentation that you posted (2 years ago) and was
wondering if you had any updated from bare to cloud provisioning document
for Havana or Icehouse.
