I’ve merged all the open pullreqs (thanks, both of you!) and tested on
Debian, Ubuntu and Centos, all seems fine. It’s now in master of
foreman-installer. I’ll craft up an augeas patch later this week if
you don’t beat me to it

Yep - it would also be great to have CloudStack support there too -
something for the TODO list

So a little delayed, but here's the article on using Foreman, Puppet and
OpenStack to go from bare metal to "cloud"

Awesome stuff!

One point - where you say:

> Note: Once a node has been provisioned the certificate that identifies the host must be signed. You can do this by navigating to ‘Smart Proxies’ -> ‘$SMARTPROXY’ -> ‘Certificates’ and then signing the certificate request.

That should be covered by the provisioning scripts - when you request
unattended/provision it should create an autosign entry, the finish
script runs puppet to get the cert signed, and the the request to
unattended/built will remove the autosign. I'm sure that's default for
RedHat and Debian family templates by default.

Cheers,
Greg

Thanks Greg - have updated the post now.

Andy,

I tried to follow the documentation that you posted (2 years ago) and was
wondering if you had any updated from bare to cloud provisioning document
for Havana or Icehouse.

Thanks!
