Smart variables are not showing in ENC

I've got a smart variable set up for a puppet class,
when I run the ENC script, I see in the forman log the query for the lookup
values, running it against the MySQL indeed returns the row I need,
but I don't see it in the output of the ENC script.
tried to access the URL listed in the API
here: http://theforeman.org/projects/foreman/wiki/Smart_Variables
and the log outputs error "Completed 406 Not Acceptable"
Screenshot attached.

Thank you

did you enable the smart vars in enc output ?

can you confirm you are not seeing it in the yaml output (e.g. when
selecting the host from the host list and clicking on the yaml button)?

and of course I assume you assigned the class to the host in question?

I see the yaml report, both with the ENC script and the web UI,
in both I see the puppet class, but not the variable.

oh… found it…
thought it should be near the puppet class itself.
the paramaters are available to the puppet classes?
