Is there a possibility to provision instance with static IP address on
AWS EC2?
It seems that manually provided address is completely ignored and my
instance gets random address. I found an issue which mentione "Ability
to set static IP addreses", but it's almost 2 years old now.

Is it really impossible to choose IP on Amazon EC2?
