Problem:
We use Foreman “Version 3.13.0” to stage our Ubuntu Server.
Currently we use the Bootdisk Provisioning directly into VMware which works.
The plan is to switch to ipv6 deployment, also with Bootdisk.
At the Moment, the Interface is not comming up,
(it tries to bring up the interface and cuts the IP after the first “:”
if i change the linuxefi parameter to:
"ip=none ip6=[IPV6-INFOS], it shows the whole IP Adress, but then says “Argument list to long”
Expected outcome:
Foreman Bootdisk to provision Ubuntu with ipv6
Foreman and Proxy versions:
Version 3.13.0
Foreman and Proxy plugin versions:
Distribution and version:
Foreman Running on Almalinux9
Staging Version for Ubuntu ist 24.04.1
Infos:
Ipv6 address is fix (no dhcp)
Foreman is configured with ipv6
QUESTION:
Does someone use Bootdisk deployment with ipv6 for Ubuntu ?
