Hi All,
We have configured foreman-proxy on our existed dhcp server and able to
browse https://<DHCP-ServerIP>:8443/dhcp, but not able to add the same in
smart_proxy list from foreman.
Getting the following error while adding smart_proxy , kindly suggest.
Unable to save
Unable to communicate with the proxy: SSL_connect returned=1 errno=0
state=SSLv3 read server certificate B: certificate verify failed
Please check the proxy is configured and running on the host.

Forgive me for trying to answer this from memory on my phone, but I think
I've seen something similar…
Check your ssl certs on the smart proxy. I seen to recall that Foreman
wants the proxy's ssl cert to be signed by the same CA that Foreman uses…
In other words, install puppet on the smart proxy and point it to Foreman's
puppet master, then configure the smart proxy to use puppet's ssl cert/key.
I think there's a wiki on this somewhere.
