Unable to select iPXE boot - complains No iPXE template were found

Problem:

When selecting an iPXE boot loader and clicking save, the error message is displayed:

No iPXE templates were found for this host, make sure you define at least one in your Rocky 8.5 settings or change PXE loader

When checking provisioning templates, the iPXE template is listed:

iPXE template: CF Kickstart default iPXE

Expected outcome:

Saving of the host works

The Resolve Templates button is not working correctly.

I had “Any organization” and “Any Location” selected, but the host is a specific location, the template was not assigned to this location and organization.
