Universal solution to have host discovery with both UEFI and legacy BIOS

Problem:
Lack of big picture directions on how to implement a universal solution for Windows/Linux, UEFI and legacy deployments
Expected outcome:
For it to work
Foreman and Proxy versions:
Latest 3.5 as they have been installed freshly
Foreman and Proxy plugin versions:
Not relevant here?
Distribution and version:
Ubuntu 20.04
Other relevant data:

Hi there, I am trying, since a bit, to implement a new setup of our Foreman instance.

I know there is plenty of read, but there are some dead links from the forums here to the documentation, also what I miss is a more big picture overview of a good implementation.

What I am looking for is:

Having the VM with the Foreman on it being able to do DHCP, have hosts load a discovery image (legacy AND UEFI, as there are newer machines down the farm the are pure UEFI…).
In that way we could use same strategy as with old Foreman instance to then use the discovered nodes as we wish, be it Linux or Windows…

I hope it’s OK to ask such a (noob?) question here?

Thanks
David

I’ve certainly had alot of trouble with pulling all the pieces together. Perhaps someone has the perfect set of templates and is willing to share?
