I have a number of users that lose access to locations and organizations
(they don't see organizations or locations in the UI) when they are the
owners of hosts. When I change the owner of hosts from their user account
to an admin account, the user can see their locations and organizations
correctly. I don't see any errors in the debug logs except when I try to
change a default organization for the user having problems. I see "Failed
to save: Default organization Default organizations need to be user
organizations first". If I look at the organization configuration, the
user is greyed out and in the "Selected Items" in the user tab.
This problem seems to happen randomly and doesn't affect all users. What
is the best way to troubleshoot this?
I too have locations/organizations problems, and would love to have a way
to troubleshoot this.
