Using certname as identity in Foreman

Hello,

I am newbie in Foreman and it seems I missed something very basic in
Foreman configuration:
we are running Foreman 1.13.2 and we want to use certname from client's
puppet.conf as identity. For some reasons Foreman uses host's fqdn as
identity and passes the "corrected" identity to puppet.master

Any suggestions how to tell Foreman to use certname as an identity and skip
fqdn?

Best regards,
Anatoliy

Nobody has an idea?
