Hi
I am using Foreman 1.6 and VMWare template based provisioning. I am able to
successfully provision VMs using VMware but not able to edit the VM
settings in Foreman once it has been created. I am able to edit the VM
settings from vSphere though and it gets reflected in Foreman.
The question I am trying to ask is whether there is any plan for
implementing the feature to allow VM editing from Foreman? I believe this
is possible for other compute resources but not for VMware (I might be
wrong as I have checked it myself!).
If anyone has managed to implement this feature and requires testing, I am
happy to test it my test cluster.
Thanks & regards
Soumen
Nobody's working on it to my knowledge. It may need work in Fog before
enabling the feature in Foreman.
Feature #4166: VMWare - VM editing is not implemented for this provider - Foreman tracks it, but it's unclaimed.
